Reaching 29 professional contests in any combat sport is a remarkable achievement and ‘Little Levers Meat Cleaver’ did just that by the tender age of 30 years old. Picking up English, British and commonwealth titles along the way aswell as challenging for the coveted EBU European title and boxing in various countries on multiple big platforms.
Jack Cullen is a very popular pugilist with a loyal army of supporters that have followed him up and down the country and into Europe. He won his first title(English Middleweight Championship) in May 2019 against Jack Sellers and successfully defended it just a few months later, both victories came in his hometown of Bolton and subsequently gained a lot of peoples attention.
Fast forward four years and Cullen was made mandatory for the British super-middleweight crown which was then held by Mark Heffron, an opponent that the challenger knew very well from multiple rounds sparred when they were training partners. Factor in that the contest was a Manchester vs Bolton derby and it had all the ingredients for an all time classic British title fight.
The match up proved to be just that, with Cullen stopping Heffron in round three with a vicious left hook knockout which sent his dedicated following into raptures at Manchesters AO arena. With the commonwealth belt also on the line it’s safe to say that night is by far the highlight of Jacks career.
After losing the hunger and desire he carried for years throughout his gloved days the Bolton man decided after his last outing in April 2024 that it was the right time to call it a day and seek a new challenge.
That challenge came in the form of the raw and relentless format of bare knuckle fighting, something he always wanted to venture into. After having conversations with BKFC UK president Andrew Bakewell the fire was re-lit and the meat cleaver wasted no time under his new promotional banner. Making his debut in March 2025 in Manchester the heavy handed Cullen dropped and stopped opponent Jakub Kosicki in the very first round.
With notorious power in his fists and a never say die attitude he aims to repeat his achievements from throwing hands with the 8oz gloves in the bare knuckle fighting championship. He resides in a division with a lot of big names and knows he has his work cut out to reach the pinnacle of the sport but Jack Cullen is not one to shy away from a challenge and is determined to engrave his name into BKFC history.
With the likelihood of being on the next Manchester card after the summer, who would you like to see Little Levers Meat Cleaver matched with next?
