Let’s be honest, you’ve got to respect the graft. Hayden Sherriff ain’t just another face in the crowd – he’s possibly the most active fighter we’ve ever seen on these shores. And I don’t mean active like “fought three times last year” active. I mean real active. As in, closing in on 1,000 total fights active. Yeah. That number’s not a typo.
Nearly 1,000 Bouts – And Still Going
According to multiple sources including the man himself, Sherriff has had close to 1,000 fights across various combat sports. That includes bare-knuckle boxing, gloved bouts, MMA scraps, and even the kind of dodgy unlicensed fights most people don’t want to admit they’ve done. He’s been in there with pros, journeymen, ticket sellers, killers, and everything in between. And more often than not, on a few hours’ notice.
Hayden recently said in an interview:
“The last three years I’ve had 97, 88 and 89 fights and I should hit 1,000 by the end of the year or early next.”
Do the maths. That’s about 270 fights in just three years. And even if you knock a few off for errors or mismatches, it’s still madness.

What Counts as a Fight?
Now, let’s be real – not all of those fights were under BKB™ or BKFC lights. Some were MMA scraps, some were dodgy unlicensed shows, and others might’ve been under different names. He’s been open about taking fights under aliases in the past – not to trick fans, but because he just loves to fight. No padded record. No cherry-picking. Just work.

And unlike some who fight twice a year and call themselves “active,” Hayden’s out most weekends, gloves on, hands wrapped, ready to go. Doesn’t matter if it’s a big arena, a small hall, or a car park in Wigan. He’s showing up.
The Record Might Not Be Pretty – But the Resume is
Let’s not sugarcoat it – the man’s official MMA record stands at 0-9, and his BKB/BKFC record is 2-4. But what those numbers don’t tell you is who he’s fought, how many times, and under what circumstances. Plenty of his fights were short notice, some with injuries, and some just for a few hundred quid to feed the kids.
You might say he shouldn’t be taking them. He’d say he’s doing what he has to. And let’s not forget – he’s a father of two, doing this to build a name, provide for his family, and live a life he can be proud of.
What makes it even more impressive (or mad) is that Hayden’s racked up hundreds of fights without ever properly training. No structured camp. diet plans or PTs. Just straight-up scrap.
But that’s changing.
For the first time in his career, Hayden’s now training seriously, watching tape, cutting weight properly, and putting real focus into his game. And it’s paying off – he’s started picking up titles on the unlicensed circuit, and looks sharper than ever.
He’s no longer just surviving in fights – he’s winning them, convincingly.
Sponsored by BkN UK – And We’re Backing Him
We believe in second chances. And we believe in the people who graft. That’s why BkN UK is proud to sponsor Hayden Sherriff. We’re backing him 100% as he steps into this new chapter of his career.
With the right backing, training, and mindset, we truly believe Hayden can cause huge waves in the BKB rankings this year. He’s got the heart, he’s got the grit, and now – finally – he’s got the right tools in place to go from journeyman to contender.
Final Word from Me
Look, this sport’s full of tough guys. But not many have the kind of mindset Hayden Sherriff’s got. You can call it reckless, brave, mad – whatever you want – but you’ve got to respect it.
In a time where everyone’s obsessed with their record, this lad’s just obsessed with fighting. And that’s the raw spirit of bare-knuckle, isn’t it?
Let’s see if he gets to that magic 1,000. And if he does, I hope he gets the bloody respect he deserves for it.
