Full Breakdown & Prediction
by Josh Clare
Let’s not mess about this is a proper clash of styles, eras, and mindsets. One man’s making his debut in bare-knuckle, the other’s fighting for his future in it.
Jamie Cox steps into the BKFC ring for the first time, but he’s no newcomer to combat. With over 25 wins in professional boxing, he’s been in with world-level opposition and held titles
both super middleweight and light heavyweight. He’s boxed under the brigt lights, been in camps with champions, and tasted both glory and heartbreak. Now he’s throwing his hat in the bare-knuckle game, and there’s a lot of quiet hype around him.
Then you’ve got Chaz Wasserman. Three fights deep in BKFC, one win and two brutal losses. The record doesn’t tell the full story though—he’s got grit. His win over Cedric Severac was tidy, and he showed composure under fire. But the two stoppage losses, one to Anthony Holmes and the other to Matty Hodgson, exposed some cracks in the armour. In both fights, he started strong but faded when the pressure came. And now, facing a fresh, dangerous Cox, he’s got no room for error.
A Closer Look
Cox is aggressive by nature. He doesn’t coast. He doesn’t play it safe. He comes forward with sharp, snappy combos and carries real power in both hands. From what I’ve heard in the background, he’s been adjusting well in camp—prepping for the clinch game, the range difference, the pace. He’s not underestimating the shift from gloves to bone.
But here’s the question: how does he react when his face gets sliced open for the first time? That’s the test that glove fighters have to pass in bare-knuckle. The first cut, the first clinch battle, the first time your hand swells after round one. That’s what makes or breaks debutants.
Chaz has already lived that. He’s been bloodied, dropped, stopped—and he still keeps stepping up. That takes guts. He’s also got a decent jab, good movement, and a habit of landing sneaky counters when guys rush in. He’s not as technically polished as Cox, but he’s a fighter, and he won’t make this easy for anyone.
Josh’s Honest Prediction – From BkN UK
I’ve thought about this one a lot. Chaz has got the edge in BKFC experience, and that always counts. But I just think this is Jamie Cox’s fight to lose. If he settles into the rules fast, doesn’t gas trying to take Chaz out early, and keeps it sharp and clinical—I think he can stop this one.
Cox has too much pedigree to not be dangerous in this sport. I can’t see Chaz winning unless he drags this into a war and breaks Jamie down with pressure. That’s not impossible, but it’s a tall ask.
Prediction: Jamie Cox wins by KO in Round 2.
Cox will land something clean and heavy early. If Chaz weathers it, fair play—but I just don’t see him surviving the first two rounds without taking damage.
